Covert Operations?!

Well not really. The truth of the matter is not all information can be published when it comes to indepth application development for a business.

After and prior to the holidays I have focused mainly on custom tools for targeting direct mail. Not spam, but email lists of web users that have opted-in for specific interest groups.

Most of the work involved the marrying of data between Mysql tables and the Postgres backend of a mail list application called Lyris. The result is a tool (which I cannot show you) that builds email lists based on specific demographic criteria and interests of a large pool of web users.

You’ve surely been shown a list of interests at one time while registering for a specific internet site?
If you’ve agreed to the terms and conditions you will likely receive special offers from advertisers on that site about your interests!

Happy 2006!
